    Skiers and snowboarders flock to Breckenridge Ski Resort where over 50% of the terrain is designated as difficult or advanced. Of course, there is skiing for all levels, with 30 lifts servicing four peaks and 155 trails. All amenities are available, with many lodging and dining options. The town also hosts an indoor/outdoor ice skating rink, two Nordic centers, and a series of Nordic trails throughout town.

    Nordic & Cross Country Skiing

    Breckenridge, CO, is the perfect place for Nordic Skiing. Nestled between the magnificent Ten Mile Range and the Continental Divide, this authentic Victorian mining town offers wonderful cross-country skiing and snowshoeing at several Nordic centers.

    The trail systems offer a fun mix of beginner, intermediate, and advanced trails, for both skiers and snowshoers. Ski and snowshoe rentals are available, as well as lessons.

    Enjoy miles of cross-country ski trails through old-growth spruce forests and open beaver meadows. Or try miles of snowshoeing on scenic single-track nature trails. Breckenridge has two Nordic ski tunnels, and the Shock Hill ski bridge for a continuous looped trail system. Also, be sure to try the newly expanded cross-country ski trail system on Peaks 6 and 7 in the White River National Forest.

    Offering a full range of skiing, from beginner to advanced, this Nordic ski area offers 50 miles of terrain for skiing or snowshoeing. Open mid-November to early April.

    Gold Run Nordic Center

    With ideal beginner terrain and expansive mountain views, this trail system offers a mix of beginner, intermediate, and advanced trails for skiing and snowshoeing. Open mid-November through early April.
